Several online gaming journals also cited this post in articles of their own.

On October 28th, 2016, a post on /r/skyrimmods on reddit indicated that the Special Edition's audio quality was noticeably worse than in the original. Many reviewers stated that the game did not perform well on their systems.

As of October 29th, 2016, the game has a 60% ("Mixed") rating on Steam. The Special Edition did indeed offer slight graphical improvements over the original game, as demonstrated by PC Gamer. The Special Edition is also the first game in the series to offer use of the Creation Club to purchase mods licensed by Bethesda. Other improvementsīethesda employee Matt Grandstaff stated on Twitter that the Special Edition would be 64-bit. By creating a account, you’ll be able to browse and try mods right from within the game. You will not be able to upload external assets with your PlayStation 4 mods, but you will be able to use any assets that come with the game, as most mods do. If anyone played it and can speak to that, let me know! I'm about to pull the trigger on this one around Canadian boxing day (assuming the price drops again).Mods on PlayStation 4 will allow you to modify and create your own content by using our Creation Kit available here. That said, I do wonder how bad the framerate gets on Pro. I'm sure if they implemented the scaler on the Pro version, it'd just drop more often. The scaler was probably just in response to the framerate complaints on the Pro. I'd expect a little more improvements on the One X in terms of graphical features due to the jump in GPU power, but the game seems to be at native 4K 99% of the time, with fairly stable framerate. Not many native 4K games on the Pro so I'd like one to try it out.Įdit: Honestly, watching the whole video, I think both versions seem super solid. How bad are they over the course of the entire game anyway? Anyone played it? I'm thinking of picking it up for my new TV. In any case, I think I'd pick it up on the Pro unless the drops are really bad.

It's weird, I would think the power differential would allow the X to pull off native 4K without framedrops, but I suppose the drops must be related to the CPU.
